Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BCE, the story of Alexandria is legendary. See the remains of the city Cleopatra once called home, and enjoy its modern charms.

TEMPLES AND TOMBS

Luxor is known as the world’s greatest open-air museum for the temples, tombs, and monuments that have withstood the construction of the modern city around it. Step back in history, and view the Karnak Temple Complex—one of the largest religious buildings in the world—Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the Kings.

Wonder of the World

Experience the culture and history of Egypt’s capital with visits to the Egyptian Museum and Khan El-Khalili bazaar. Venture just outside Cairo to see the Great Pyramid of Giza—the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and a feat of architecture and engineering.

Uncovering History

Travel beside the Nile to Abydos, and marvel at the colorful carvings in the Temple of Seti I. Discover the Abydos King List, which was instrumental to understanding ancient Egyptian history.

RIVER OF LIFE

Embark on a private dahabiya—a traditional Egyptian sailing vessel—for a journey down the longest river in Africa. Explore Elephantine, the only ongoing excavation site open to tourists, and experience the island’s sacred temples and traditional Nubian villages.
